Our license:
The SakuraBeats project uses the Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution license.
Let’s go over the basic terms of the license. This is not a substitute for legal advice. Statements made here do not override the terms of the license. I’m simplifying a lot of legalese here.
Creative Commons:
By release this music under a Creative Commons license, we reserve some rights, but not all. For example, we reserve ownership over the compositions and the recordings. You may not claim them as your own, re-sell them, or upload them to Spotify under your own name.
You may remix, incorporate, modify, and synchronize this music with video, free of royalty and DMCA, provided you also satisfy the Attribution clause as described below.
Attribution Clause:
With the Attribution clause, we ask that you credit the project in whatever way is reasonable for the platform.
Live Content: for live streams such as Twitch, an overlay or chat command would suffice. If that is beyond your means, don’t worry. Go ahead.
Pre-Recorded Content: such as YouTube videos, song title, artists, and link are ideal. An example of this might be:
Song:
Slow Dancing with Sakura Petals
Silvervale and Shanty Shark

This clause protects the project, and helps people hear about it, which helps us make more music!
FAQ
Also not a substitute for legal advice.
Can I use this music in monetized YouTube videos?
Absolutely! We ask that you credit the project as described in the “Attribution Clause” section above, but that’s it.
Can I play this music during a Twitch stream?
Absolutely! Similar to YouTube, we ask you make an effort to credit the project, but we realize this isn’t nearly as easy in the live setting. If you don’t have an overlay or a chat command, don’t sweat it.
Will I receive a DMCA Claim for this music?
Never. If you do, please contact Shanty Shark on Twitter or by email, as this claim may have been filed incorrectly or fraudulently.
